A weekend and under $200 = one bathroom makeover

The one project I have wanted to tackle lately has been the master bath. Especially every time I cleaned it. DO you ever scrub and scrub and it still feels dirty? Well, that was this bathroom. Yuck.

This is the before photo. This was after a little deconstruction but trust me, it didn't start out much better than this. Ugly carpet, broken vanity (I had a mistreatment over it), stained marble counter, and rust colored walls do not bring a "spa" feeling.

After. Beadboard wallpaper, new craigslist vanity for $40 spruced up with some black paint, and hardware from Hobby Lobby. Oh and new flooring! I will have to update with a picture of that.

Close up of Vanity with added metal detail from Hobby Lobby. We are not completely done. We're still adding new hardware and replacing some molding. I will update when finished to include the flooring also.
Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I'd love to use the beadboard wallpaper but haven't tried it yet. I'd love to know how it holds up to the rigors and moisture in a bathroom. Great job on a FANTASTIC makeover!

  8. Yeah, we shall see how it holds up but our shower area is in a separate room and I did not put it in there so I don't think it will be too much of a problem.

  17. What you published made a bunch of sense. However, what about this?
suppose you added a little information? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added a title that grabbed people's attention?
I mean "A weekend and under $200 = one bathroom makeover"
is a little vanilla. You ought to glance at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create news titles to get people to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab readers excited about everything've written.
Just my opinion, it might make your blog a little livelier.
