DIY party at Kimba's- Scrapbook paper Initial

It's DIY Thursday at Kimba's blog, A Soft Place To Land and I wanted to share a recent small project of mine. I know many have discovered the multiple uses for scrapbook paper in home decorating and I decided to try it for a little something to put on the back of our breakfast table bench.

1. I found a set of scrapbook letters and chose our family initial.

2. I picked a coordinating background paper and a box thingy for around the "i".
3. Glued it all together and put it in the $1 frame from a yard sale and called it a day!

I like that it's a fun alternative to a picture and is personalized for the family. An added bonus is that it is not too fragile so moving arms sitting on the bench can't hurt it too bad.

Head to Kimba's and see what everyone else has been up to!

  8. Aw, so cute! I did something similar, except I printed out and framed initials from illuminated manuscripts from th 1500s, one for me, my husband, and our kid.
